Over the past five years, my work in painting has mainly taken place around two main axes (the series " still in body " and the series " the ghosts”), which respond to each other, intersect, sometimes meet on the same canvas. In 2022, another type of research including different techniques has emerged (see the section: mixed techniques ).
In preamble
What makes flesh in the human being? What is dear to me in “being human”? What singularity do we carry in this pressing and diluted collective at the same time? At a time of compulsive and repetitive images, enticing poses, rehashing of sexualized and sexist imagery, how to play and play with a body that is not hunting? !
Starting from these overexposed representations, pseudo-erotized bodies, especially commodified, let us act as acrobats. Let's scratch, let's scratch to the marrow these agreed, these racist, misogynistic and degrading images of women (and of men, by extension), hoping that from these multiple despairing can arise all the emotional charge of the unique.
Standing facing the painter's gaze or the photographer's lens, three-quarters, in a pose, a look, a relaxation of the shoulder, a tensing of the muscles, a fold of the lips, everything is said. It's really you. There it is, this moment when you separate yourself from the cesspool. A ray of light, a shadow, a sigh, the position of your hands, here they are, these signs by which you speak and which the color licks...
